Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel located a short distance from Arusha Town Centre. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to explore the city at your own pace.

Overnight in Kilimanjaro

Today after breakfast, depart at 10:00 with a picnic lunch to the Machame area in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. A local guide from the village meets you and escorts you for this hike. Here you hike to a location in the heart of banana trees where a waterfall is fed by the springs of the mountain, tumbling to a pool below. After enjoying your picnic lunch, you hike back to the vehicle. Total hiking time is about 4.5 hours. Return to the lodge in the afternoon for dinner on your own arrangements and overnight.

Overnight in Kilimanjaro

Have your breakfast before you depart in the early morning at 06:45 to the Marangu Gate of Mount Kilimanjaro. The drive will take about 90 minutes. You meet your mountain guide and hike to Mandara Huts. You will have lunch on the mountain and then descend, stopping at viewpoints along the way. Total hiking time is about six hours depending on your pace. You meet your vehicle at the park gate and travel by road to Arusha city center for around 2.5 hours and the hotel where you spend the night.

Overnight in Arusha

This morning, meet your safari driver guide and depart to Lake Manyara National Park at 08:00. You arrive at the park after two hours of driving through the Rift Valley, passing small villages with cattle and goats tended by young children. Game view in the park and enjoy a picnic lunch box at a site inside the park. In the afternoon, continue to Karatu and your lodge arriving for dinner and overnight. The drive from the park gate to the lodge takes about an hour.

Overnight in Karatu

In the morning after breakfast, depart to Serengeti National Park at 07:00. You visit Olduvai Gorge en route. A picnic lunch is provided at Naabi Gate. Enjoy game view en route to the camp arriving for dinner and overnight. The drive to Olduvai is about 3.5 hours. From Olduvai to Naabi Gate is about an hour. From Naabi Gate to the camp is about 4 hours with game viewing en route.

Overnight in Serengeti

Have your breakfast before you enjoy morning and afternoon game drives with meals and overnight at the camp. Game drives are typically 3 hours each. Depending on the season and the position of your camp, you might get lucky enough to see the Great Migration of wildebeest, zebra, antelope, and their predators as they pass by in large numbers.

Overnight in Serengeti

Today after breakfast, proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend directly into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive on the crater’s floor. In the afternoon, return to the rim of the crater and continue to Karatu arriving at the lodge for dinner and overnight. Driving time to the entry to the crater is about 3.5 hours. Game viewing in the crater will be about 4.0 hours. The drive from the crater to the lodge is about 1.5 hours.

Overnight in Karatu

After breakfast, travel by road back to Arusha departing at 09:00 and arriving around 12:30. Lunch at Arusha Coffee Lodge (excludes drinks). Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight. The transfer takes about 80 minutes and you should be at the airport at least 3 hours before your flight’s departure time.
